Synopsis
On a lazy summer afternoon family road trip, a 10- year-old boy lays on the backseat of
the car and drifts away in a daydream. He envisions a rivalry with a gang of feral kids, a
fight for supremacy in the shape of a football. His reverie soon surpasses the unpredictable reality and continues even after death.
Director’s Bio
PETER KEREK was born in Timisoara (Romania) on 4th of January 1975. He studied at the Philosophy University in Munich (Germany), at the Academy of Theatre and Cinematography in Bucharest (Romania) and at the Theatre Academy Otto-Falckenberg in Munich (Germany). Currently, he is working as a writer and director for theatre and film. His theatre projects are focused on interferences between cinema and theatre, productions such as “9 degrees in Paris” (wrote and staged at the ACT Theatre in Bucharest), “Living in Oblivion!” (staged at Odeon Theatre in Bucharest) or staging Bergman’s “Persona”. He wrote and directed short films such as “Adultery”, “4 shots” and “Wonderland” , which were successful at international film festivals. His most recent short film “First Strike” had it’s World Premiere at Montreal World Film Festival and received the Prix Du Conseil Regional de Bretagne at Festival Europeen du Film Court de Brest. Peter has he also directed several TV shows well known in Romania, such as “Rich man, poor man”, “Gender war” and “Mothers and Doctors”. Currently, Peter is developing his debut feature “Metamorphoses” and also works on a new TV series set up in the communist period.
