Synopsis

Madame S., an extortive woman, is marrying her beautiful daughter to M. Gluand, a rich old doctor. What she doesn’t know is that Madelene has agreed to this deal only because she is in love with the doctor’s protégée, Marcel. The two start a hidden secret romance after the arranged marriage. However, the doctor, who finds one of their love notes, soon discovers their secret. Looking for vengeance, he decides to let the two lovers be together, body and soul.

Director’s Bio

Vasile Alboiu is a Romanian creative director and passionate animator. He is currently working as creative director in one of Romania’s most prestigious advertising companies, but he dedicates his spare time to the applied study of animation. During the past years, he has tutored many animation workshops for Anim’est, the biggest Romanian animation film festival. TOGETHER, BODY AND SOUL is his directorial debut animated short.

Liviu-Gabriel Dinu is a visual effects artist and the co-director of TOGETHER, BODY AND SOUL. He is the owner and VFX Supervisor of StaticVFX,  a talent driven animation and visual effects studio based in Bucharest, Romania servicing commercial, TV and film clients locally and internationally.

Director’s Note

Together, body and soul” took six year to be made, with a small but very talented crew, that managed to create this 3D animation that looks like a stop-motion animation.
