Founded in 2004, BOMB FILM PRODUCTION has been dedicated to promoting and distributing Romanian films. Their first release, Bogdan Apetri’s debut “Periferic,” premiered at the 2010 Locarno Film Festival, winning the FIPRESCI prize in Warsaw and Vienna, and drawing over 10,000 viewers in Romanian cinemas. In 2013, they released Igor Cobileanski’s “La limita de jos a cerului,” which earned multiple awards, including FIPRESCI and Gopo honors. This was followed by Sorin Marin’s debut  “Capace” (2017), Mihaela Popescu’s “În pronunțare” (2018, Berlin Critics’ Week), and Andrei Gruzsniczki’s “Zavera” (2019). Currently, Bomb Film is in distribution in Romania with the documentary “Eight Postcards from Utopia” by Radu Jude and Christian FERENCZ-Flatz, which premiered at Locarno Film Festival in 2024.
